Animal Care Foundation

Unfortunately, pets can go without treatment due to financial constraints of their owners. Without treatment these pets may be euthanized or left to live in pain from disease or injury. Tragically, many of these pets could return to normal healthy life if only provided treatment.To meet this need, Iowa Veterinary Specialties has established the Animal Care Foundation.

The Animal Care Foundation at IVS is a not-for-profit foundation funded through charitable donations. The foundation funds are used under strict guildelines, directed by the doctors at IVS, for the medical care for sick or injured animals of pet owners that are financially unable to pay for the care of their pet.

The Animal Care Foundation has been approved by the State of Iowa and has tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service. The Animal Care Foundation does not receive government grants or support of any kind. The foundation is supported solely by individual donors and companies that want to help ensure dogs and cats get the care they need.

By donating to the foundation, your funds go directly to dogs and cats at IVS needing life-saving emergency and critical care. Your funds will have very real results, preventing the tragic loss of dogs and cats needing surgeries and emergency care. We hope you will consider a tax-exempt gift to the Animal Care Foundation. With support from animal lovers like you, IVS will be able to save the lives of many cats and dogs.

Memory Wall

If you would like to remember a pet, you can memorialize your pet's memory through the IVS Memory Wall. The IVS Memory Wall will give you a lasting message in honor or memory of a pet etched on a magnetic tile, which will be placed on the Memory Wall, located in the Iowa Veterinary Specialties reception area. A donation of $150 provides for a 3 x 1.5" tile and a gift of $250 provides for a 3 x 3" tile.  A 3" x 3" tile will allow for 3 lines of 12 letters/spaces. A 3" x 1.5" tile will allow for 2 lines of 14 letters/spaces.

All funds received from memory wall tiles will go towards the Animal Care Foundation and be used to treat injured/ ill dogs and cat. Through your memory of your pet you will be helping other pets in need.
