IVS is seeking qualified individuals to to join our caring team of veterinary professionals. The following positions are curerntly open at our hospital:

Surgery Technician:

Iowa Veterinary Specialties is seekign a fulltime LVT/RVT/CVT (or eligible) to provide technicial exptertise in all aspects of pre-, intra-, and post- operative patient care; anesthesia, aseptic surgical procedures; and clinical laboratory services. Responsibilities will include administering treatment as directed by teh surgery supervisor including anesthesia induction, maintenance and monitoring, record keeping, operation, set-up, maintenance of surgical equipment/ operating suite; radiology, sample collection and processing.

Full-Time
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred.
Prior veterinary expereince desired
Prior surgery expereince preferred
Ability and willingness to work as a member of a team required
Positive attitue required

Relief Veterinarian:

Seeking part- time DVM
Hours/ shifts may vary

Emergency experience desired

Veterinary Technician: Emergency

Experience in veterinary environment preferred and/ or prior experience caring for animals.
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred.
Desire to treat and care for injured and ill animals.
Ability and willingness to work as a member of a team.

Technician Assistant

Will maintain the environment of care within the hospital and assist veterinary technicians and doctors as needed. Tasks and duties include: cleaning kennels, receiving and stocking supplies, patient laundry, general cleaning, walking dogs, and patient care directed by technicians and doctors.

Strong desire to treat and care for injured and ill animals.
Strong work ethic required
Ability and willingness to work as a member of a team
Must be able to take initiative to complete tasks

Custodian/ Facility Maintenance

Will maintain the environment of care and facilities at hospital. Duties will include mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning windows, emptying trash, cleaning exam rooms and bathrooms, maintaining grounds, preventive maintenance with building, repair as needed, and general upkeep of hospital.

Prior custodial work desired
Prior facilties maintenance experience desired
Strong work ethic and pride in work required
Flexibility in work hours required
